Somerset Inn & Suites

My whole family stayed here for my cousin’s wedding. The rooms were clean and nice, and everyone working there was friendly. We enjoyed gathering around the outdoor fire pit so we could talk without getting too loud inside. I probably won’t be back in this area, but if I were, I’d stay here again.

The owners made us feel welcome, and the place was modern and really clean. It’s also a great option if you’re traveling with a pet. I’ll definitely stay here again on a future trip.

We had a great two-night family getaway here. It felt peaceful and tucked away, even though downtown and the waterfront were only about a four-minute drive. The price was reasonable for what’s offered, and check-in was easy. The front desk woman was so warm, and there was fresh local coffee in the office. The little shop also had snacks, drinks, and frozen treats for sale. Our double queen room was comfortable and spotless, with a microwave, fridge, freezer, and full-size coffee pot. The owners clearly take care of the property. The pool and hot tub were clean and a nice way to relax after exploring. We also liked the fire pit area, with picnic tables and high-end gas grills. The thoughtful amenities and friendly service made this better than we expected. We’d come back to Door County and stay here again.

The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, even when a thunderstorm knocked out power across the peninsula during our three-night stay in early August 2020. We lost power on the last night, and they refunded that night, which we hadn’t expected. The room was great, too. Somerset Inn & Suites is also ideally placed for getting around the peninsula, with plenty to do in every direction. We hope to stay again on our next Door County trip.
