Hampton Inn & Suites Ephrata - Mountain Springs

Mrs Shoff arranged accommodations for our group of 85 during our April 11-12 visit to Ephrata, PA. She was professional, efficient, capable, friendly, and provided excellent customer service. The staff were welcoming and accommodating too, especially Ms Anne Marie. The rooms were clean and very nice, and breakfast had a wide range of choices. Our visit was really rewarding, and I'd recommend this location to other groups coming to the area, especially anyone going to the Sight and Sound Theater. We'll return in the near future. Our first stay, in 2024, was fabulous: great service, a clean room with an amazing view, and a pool the kids loved. The 2025 visit wasn't as good. The biggest issue was getting the wrong room. We'd booked a King with a pullout for our family of five, but the host tried to put us in a King with no pullout. I don't know where he thought we'd all sleep, and he offered no solution since the other Kings with pullouts were booked. I suggested a room with 2 Queens. It was less comfortable, faced a wall, and sat next to the elevator, which we could hear all night. The Accessible shower didn't keep water from spreading all over the floor, and the toilet overflowed too. I would usually raise these problems with the hotel, but couldn't find a way to do that. I'll still give 4 stars because most of the staff were lovely and we'd had a great stay before. I think it would've been great again if we'd gotten the room we booked.

I didn't stay overnight, so I can't speak to the rooms, but I was invited to try breakfast this morning and can share my impressions. The Hampton Inn Mountain Springs in Ephrata is at 380 E Main St, Ephrata, PA 17522. It seems like a nice option for family or friends visiting the area. The breakfast space is cozy and sits beside check-in. They offered the expected basics like eggs, cereal, fruit, and waffles. I liked the different waffle toppings and the choices for oatmeal too. They change the special waffle monthly: last month's was churro, this month's was cinnamon and vanilla, and February's will be Red Velvet and chocolate. The sausage was tasty and had honey in it. Everyone we met on staff was polite and friendly, which made the visit nicer. One staff member even took my plate and trash. I was only there briefly, but the staff seemed attentive and welcoming. The hotel was very clean and decorated for the holidays, with Christmas music playing softly in the background.

The rooms were clean, and getting here off Rt 222 was easy. The parking lot is small, so I don't think a big rig would fit.
