I was in Erie for a two-day class at Erie Insurance, and this little bed and breakfast is just a couple of blocks from the headquarters. The family who owns it was very accommodating. It's a wonderful little gem, though it isn't a hotel room like you'd get at the Sheraton. If you've stayed in one Sheraton, you've stayed in them all. I'll definitely stay here again if I return to Erie.

I've been a happy, loyal customer for ten years! Chris is a gracious hostess, and this is a beautiful landmark to share with visitors heading to Erie. Everything is always just so, with never an object out of place or a spot overlooked. There's no large breakfast, but the continental one will hold you over. There are lots of breakfast and lunch options nearby. Highly recommend!

I thought checkout was at 11, and at 10:55 a.m. there was a loud knock and a shout that checkout was at 11. I hurried to pack, then heard another pounding at 11:15, with someone yelling that it was 11:15. I opened the door wide-eyed and slack-jawed, said I realized that, and slowly rolled my suitcase into the hallway. I expected Chris, the owner, to say good morning, but instead she grimaced and said she thought three people were staying. I said there were only two, not sure how that was relevant. She then asked me to pay by credit card downstairs, saying she had my number but it was cheaper for them to run it there. She swiped the card without asking how our stay was. What a shame, because it's such a nice place. I've never felt so uncomfortable or like I was imposing. Maybe the frantic, rude behavior would make sense if the Pope were checking into our room right after us, but as we passed the check-in board on the way to the parking lot, no one was booked into our room that day. Paying over a hundred dollars to be in a room for eight hours on vacation should be relaxing. I've had better treatment from RAs in my college dorm. Stay here if you like Victorian B&Bs, but have a thick skin for being mistreated.

The room was comfortable and it was a nice stay. The ceiling fan was much appreciated since it felt a little stuffy. It's close to the shore and Gann on university, if either of those things matter to you.
