Motel 6 Erie, Pa

My fiance and I pay by the week, and most of the time the stay is decent. The staff overall are friendly and helpful, and the housekeepers stay on top of guests' needs. I have trouble with one particular person, the heavier set woman with curly hair. Yesterday I went to the lobby for a roll of toilet paper, and she told me with an attitude to find my housekeeper and get it from them. That's not my only bad interaction with her. Once I booked a week through super.com and showed her the dates on my phone and the recipe showing it was paid. She couldn't find the reservation and said she wouldn't be able to accommodate me if she couldn't find it. Whenever you ask her for something, she acts like you've just killed her dog. Aside from her, everyone has been very friendly and helpful.

One employee even came outside into the freezing cold to show us the room before we booked, and the staff were very helpful throughout. The room was spotless, the bed really comfortable, and it was quiet enough for a great night's sleep. The bathroom towels felt a bit thin, though, and could be better. For the price, it's excellent value. We had a very pleasant stay and would recommend it for a clean, comfortable, peaceful stopover.

We stayed two nights in Rm 248 and check-in and check-out were easy. The room was clean, and it was a nice, inexpensive, no-frills place. The one issue was the carpet smelled like an old, musty dog. My husband has COPD and can only tolerate certain kinds of room or fabric deodorizers, so we bought some ourselves to make the odor tolerable for him.

The reception staff were great even though we arrived late, and dogs stay free. The place was warm, comfortable, and super clean, right by the highway. Amazing quality for the money.
