The Barn was comfortable, private, and in a gorgeous spot. After long hiking days, we loved unwinding in the hot tub and looking at the stars while our muscles recovered for the next day. There was a grill and covered seating out front, plus a lovely balcony in back, with trees bursting into bloom. We loved staying at Wild West Retreat and are already planning another visit. Such a nice area to explore.

Jennifer went above and beyond to make our wedding day special. We rented the whole resort, and the rooms, kitchen, and bathrooms were stocked so well that we didn't have to worry about anything. The crew cooked dinner for us, which was delicious. They were attentive, and the prices were very decent. The place itself was absolutely gorgeous. Thank you!

The Barn has lovely Utah decor, and the owner did the construction and all the beautiful wood and ironwork, including a circular staircase throughout the house. The loft stairs are a full 8 inches thick. I stayed there in early May 2021, and the location is convenient, about three blocks from Route 12. For a reasonable price, you get the whole house and a full kitchen with plenty of cooking gear. It was very clean. The north balcony has seating above covered parking, while the south side has a covered porch with outdoor furniture and bicycles. The one full bathroom is a little tight, but everything else was awesome. The owner kindly lent me tools to fix my rental car, and I'd stay here again.

Easy to find, and close to the BLM road that serves as the main route to the area's great hikes. There was plenty of room for our group of three, and the bedrooms were clean. Just keep in mind there's only one bathroom. We spotted a hammock in the garden but didn't get a chance to use it. The place seemed a bit warmer than the thermostat reading suggested.

Shannon and Jenifer were such friendly hosts. We stayed at the Pioneer house with our family of six, and its charming grounds and small-town country feel made spring break a lovely change of pace. We're already talking about our next trip to the Pioneer house in Escalante.
