The inn had so much charm and personality, and the decor was beautiful. I slept really well in the cozy bed, then enjoyed a lovely hot breakfast. The host was friendly and helpful, and made everything easy. I brought home a bottle of the winery's chardonnay to enjoy later. I'd love to return in summer to see more of the winery and take in the quiet countryside. Highly recommend.

That complimentary wine tasting was a real highlight. My husband and I loved the wines, and the breakfasts Stefan and his wife made each morning were delicious, with fresh ingredients and lovely presentation. Our room was spotless, elegant, and cozy, with a very comfortable bed and great linens. Stefan greeted us right away and shared the house's history. Woodville was an easy drive from Lynchburg, and our two-night Valentine's getaway exceeded our expectations. We'd definitely come back for another staycation.

The next morning's breakfast was a treat, first poached pears with yogurt and local honey, then stuffed French toast with bacon and perfectly scrambled eggs. The night before, we enjoyed a farm-to-table tenderloin dinner made with locally sourced ingredients. For dessert, we could have carrot cake at our table or settle into the book-lined den by the crackling fireplace. As a self-described "bookaholic," I chose the den, and we had a lovely evening chatting with our hosts. My wife Jane and I had heard enthusiastic recommendations from friends and neighbors who visit regularly, so we finally booked our first stay at The Woodville Inn Bed & Breakfast. Proprietors Desiree and Stefan (sp.?) made us feel welcome straight away. After showing us our room, they gave us a warm tour of the beautifully appointed main building. We arrived just before the season closed and happened to be their only guests that evening, so we got to enjoy their gracious, undivided attention. It's less than two hours from our home in the Richmond suburbs, but feels like a world away. We're already thinking about another visit, and highly recommend this peaceful, memorable bed and breakfast.

The hosts, Stefan and Desiree, were so welcoming, and we'd love to come back with friends. The balcony looked out toward the sunset, and the modern bathroom was another nice surprise. It was a peaceful escape from the busy world, with comfy beds, fluffy towels, and well-appointed rooms. Breakfast was a real highlight too, with homemade English muffins, Sauvignon Gris jelly, farm-fresh eggs, local sausages, and creative dishes like brie and prosciutto omelets.

The library is just the sort of place readers dream about, and the balcony views were a highlight when we woke up. Our room felt like a home away from home, combining comfort and luxury with lovely, cozy details. The hosts welcomed us warmly and took attentive care of us from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was delicious, with a thoughtful, creative menu. You could tell they put care into every detail, from the omelettes made with home-grown ingredients to the fresh baked English muffins. We were impressed by their wine label too, and the quality and craftsmanship seem to carry through all of Woodville. Our stay at Woodville Bed & Breakfast exceeded expectations. We're already planning to return and can't recommend this peaceful, luxurious gem in Esmont enough.
