We were very happy with our two nights at the hostel. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped, and the property was clean and quiet. It was also perfectly located for walking to the shops and restaurants or heading into Rocky Mountain National Park.

The host’s instructions were clear, thorough, and helpful, and the stay felt smooth and comfortable. The shared areas were clean and well maintained. There wasn’t much privacy, but everyone respected the space. The people I met were friendly and mostly kept to themselves. It’s in a great spot, within walking distance of charming shops and local places. I didn’t have much time to explore the national park, but I’d stay here again if I return to town.

This is a great location, walkable to everything, and I’ll definitely stay here again. For an easy, affordable stay in Estes Park, I recommend it. The price is reasonable for town, and it’s a no-frills hostel, as expected. You get a bed, sheets, blanket, towel, shared shower and bathroom, and access to a full kitchen. My only reason for taking off a point is that I wish the place were cleaned more often. The sign said housekeeping came every five days, but with so many people coming and going, the floors could use more frequent vacuuming, and blankets could be washed between visitors.

This is a very disappointing place to stay. It could be a wonderful youth hostel in the European sense, serving mountain school students. Instead, the owner lets anyone stay, and there seem to be lots of drifters, burnouts, and vagrants. I’m not sure what “adventures” they came for, but they just seem to linger around all day, smoke wherever they want, and touch the communal food. At present, it feels more like a homeless shelter.

For such a low price, this is a very good place, and I don’t think you’ll find a cheaper bed in Estes Park. It’s a small hostel, but it has what you need: linens, towels, an outlet at every bed, large wooden lockers underneath that could fit two huge suitcases, a kitchen, and downstairs showers. There’s good parking at the back. I didn’t see staff, but the door code worked and my bed was ready. There’s no privacy in the room. The beds are close together, with nothing screening them. That probably suits most guests, who come to hike or camp in Rocky Mountain national Park and aren’t expecting privacy. I’ll definitely stay here again.
