We spent Thanksgiving at Misty Mountain Lodge and stayed in a one-bedroom unit. It was clean, cozy, and well equipped, with a full kitchen that made things easy and a fireplace that was a lovely touch. The town had plenty to do, and we liked sitting by the fire pits while it snowed. We also had a snowball fight and walked a short way downtown for the city lights parade. Essex Park is beautiful, and we’d happily come back to this lodge.

Unit 3, the single queen, was cozy and clean, with a fireplace, kitchen, good heat, and a comfy memory foam topper. We stayed two nights and enjoyed being able to walk downtown, with the main public parking lot right next door. The staff were very nice. One of them picked up a sentimental item I’d dropped in the parking lot and brought it back, and they had fire pits going at night.

Our kids especially loved the hot tub and roasting marshmallows by the fire in the evening. We stayed in the Hideaway Suite, and the property was spotless. The whole staff, from management to operations, were so friendly and helpful, and went out of their way to make the experience good for our family. The location was perfect. We’ll definitely be back soon.

Our host Tammy went out of her way to make our vacation special. We stayed in the recently renovated Hideaway Suite, which was immaculate. Misty Mountain Lodge was a couple of minutes from downtown Estes and a short drive from Rocky Mountain National Park. We had an amazing stay and will be back next year.

Misty Mountain is the kind of place I look for when booking for myself or a group, especially since I work in hospitality and travel. My wife and I wanted somewhere in Estes Park for our wedding party, close friends, and family to stay over our mid-August wedding weekend. We found it while renovations across the property were being wrapped up. Sam and Tammy answered all our questions, stayed flexible and communicative, and even invited us to tour in the spring before the wedding. We loved seeing it in person. We booked the whole property, around 20 rooms in a mix of condo and hotel styles, and everyone was thrilled. The summer rates across the room types were great for Estes. It’s a block from main street, with a camp-like feel, fire pits for hanging out together, room for lawn games, and a hot tub. I’d recommend it for a couple’s quick trip or a big group taking over the place. Can’t wait to return!
