Riversong Inn Retreat

The 7 Benches Hiking Trail was a real adventure, and worth doing even in winter. It was cold, but beautiful, and the off-season price was just right. I stayed for one night with my sister in late January, and we found the inn so cozy. Our Forget Me Not Suite was charming, with a wonderfully spacious, comfortable bathtub and a shower that felt like a waterfall. The property is beautiful, with lots of places to walk and take in the scenery, activities, plus hot tubs and saunas around the grounds. The wedding area looks magical, too. Everyone on staff was so friendly and accommodating. I want to return every year and see the inn in every season. 🥰 😊

The grounds have had some lovely improvements, and we’ve come here at the same time and stayed in the same room for 20 years. But this was the first visit when we didn’t book for the following year before leaving. The breakfast has fallen far short of the wonderful meals we’d had for the previous 19 years. It used to be fresh, well-prepared food with a different nice surprise each day. Staff served it hot with a smile, accommodated dietary needs, and regularly offered more coffee, juice, or water. There was friendly conversation, and the dining room felt warm and lively, with people chatting about the property, the weather, dinner plans, or what to do that day. This time the food seemed mass produced, often dry and tasteless, and some things were brought out again over the next day or two. The cheese had dried out, some yogurt cups were served again the next day, and pastries were still out a day or two after they first appeared. Coffee was in another room and slow to brew, so the food got cold while we waited. We could get a better, cheaper breakfast buffet at Holiday Inn. The dining room used to feel inviting, with a fire crackling in the little pot belly stove. Now the stove is closed off and covered by a buffet table, and the room felt cold and quiet instead of warm and cheerful. This isn't a complaint about the daily kitchen staff, who are great people stuck with the new rules. For the price, and with breakfast missing the atmosphere we used to love, we’re done.

We loved how Jamie and Todd helped us figure out how to make the most of our day. Everyone was so warm and welcoming, and breakfast was delicious, with thoughtful table settings and decor that made it feel special. The 7 bench hike was a highlight, the views from the top were incredible, and it made a perfect morning after breakfast. Our room had the quaint, beautifully decorated mountain charm we wanted. The setting felt peaceful and tucked away, but Estes Park downtown was only a short drive and scenic trails were nearby. We highly recommend Riversong Inn Retreat. Thanks for a memorable stay!

Sitting by the river and listening to the water while mule deer came down for a drink was a favorite moment. We also caught a sunset from the top of a hiking trail, all right on the property. The staff were really nice, and breakfast was delicious. Our Morning Glory room was a cool little cabin for a couple of nights away. It had coffee supplies and grab-and-go snacks, plus a comfortable bed and big windows for watching the sunrise. I can see why people choose this place for weddings and other special events.
