The river was lovely to listen to while we slept, and the coffee in the morning was great. We grilled steaks on our own grill and appreciated having a full kitchen. The Jacuzzis were great, and the soft robes were a treat. We stayed in the studio cottage, liked it enough to book another night in a river front room, and both rooms were awesome. It was rustic but had modern conveniences, and booking the extra night was easy. You can text the front desk directly if you need anything.

It felt like exactly the getaway we needed. We stayed in #5, with a river view, private hot tub, fireplace, full kitchen, private deck, and a comfy bed in a quiet area. With the AC & heat off, we loved falling asleep to the river. Although we were near the road, the river drowned out the sound, and all we saw was the water and mountain. Parking was only a few steps from the door. It was easy to head into Estes for food or shopping, and the other direction took us right to the RMNP entrance. Communication was excellent and the service was wonderful. We’d definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone looking for a getaway in Estes.

The room was great and had everything needed to make dinner. It’s close to town, and we’d definitely like to come back. The large tube had an issue with the hot water: once the knob was turned more than a quarter turn, the water got hot, so filling it took a long time while I tried to keep it from getting too hot.

We were looking for a quiet getaway to disconnect and decompress, and the adult only setting at Stonebrrok suited us perfectly. It was very quiet and relaxing. The price per night seemed surprisingly reasonable, though that may have been because we went at the very end of February. We booked a two story suite with a living area upstairs overlooking the river and a nice balcony. The bedroom was directly below, with its own door out to another river patio. The king bed was really comfortable, with nice pillows and just the right amount of covers. I rarely sleep well the first night away, but we both slept for a good 6+ hours before either of us stirred, in complete silence. The suite was clean, nicely furnished, and well maintained. It had a kitchenette with a small stove and oven, plus the utensils two people would need. The upstairs balcony also had a gas grill and utensils, and the gas fireplace worked with a twist timer switch. They provided two very thick Terry cloth robes. I seriously considered taking one, and kind of regret not doing it. I’d guess they’d sell you one if you asked. The bathroom was a good size, though it had just one sink. I had expected two, but the layout and construction would limit that, and it wasn’t a deal breaker. My wife and I have separate bathrooms at home because we each like our own time getting ready. My one complaint was the shower head. Given how good the rest of the experience was, I’d suggest spending a few dollars on upgraded removable handheld shower heads with adjustable spray. It’s a big part of setting the mood for the day. All in all, I was very pleased. SB is a nice place and worth every dime spent.

Being able to open the windows and hear the stream was a great perk, and the place made for a relaxing quick getaway from the city. The layout worked well, with two bedrooms on separate floors, and it was nicely stocked. We could drive downtown in minutes, and the Stanley Hotel was only minutes away for the tour we took. We’ll stay there again.
