The bathroom was extremely small, and breakfast was very basic with limited options. Still, the room at The Maxwell Inn was cozy and extremely clean, and the location was great for exploring Rocky Mountain National Park and the surrounding area. It’s only a short distance beyond busy downtown Estes Park. We spent a couple of nights here and would highly recommend it.

Dana was a great help with information and suggestions about the Park, and we even had elk visiting the property. Maxwell Inn is well placed near both the charming downtown of Estes Park and the RM National Park. Our room had everything we needed, and the dining area for the light continental breakfast was immaculate, wiped down after each guest.

The staff were great and very helpful with tourist information. My wife and I adored the little room. It was clean and quite comfortable, and I’ll definitely come back for a longer stay.

Breakfast was simple, with hot coffee, snacks, and yogurt, but no cooked food. The room was clean and had what we needed. Staff can set up the hot tub and fire pit if you ask, and they provide extra towels for them. Downtown was about a 4-5 minute drive, and shuttle buses are available too. I’d definitely come back.

We stayed three nights in one of the charming rooms across the street from the Maxwell Inn. Ours was by the river, comfortable, charming, and very clean. It made a great base for our hikes in RMNP. Downtown Estes Park was close enough to walk to, and the trolley also stops along the route. We’d definitely stay there again.
