The location won’t work well if you want to be near attractions or takeout. Still, it was a nice option for a quick family stop, especially at the last minute. The bathrooms could use an update, though some renovations are already visible. I’d definitely stay again.

The owners are really down to earth, and I’ve stayed here two years in a row. I’ve also booked more than 16 rooms for my team across those stays. It’s a nice, clean space. It’s on the older side, but the price reflects that. I’d highly recommend it.

There’s nothing like hearing the trains pass through town at night. I was born in Estill, SC, and my family has stayed here for our annual reunion for 32 years. The place has been remodeled and looks great. It’s quiet, and I highly recommend it if you need somewhere to sleep overnight or stay for a while.

I’ve never stayed here. For some reason, Facebook asked me to leave a review. From what I’ve read in reviews by people who actually stayed, it seems this place may have become like other inexpensive older hotels in the country, with people living there long term because they can’t get a lease or mortgage. Hopefully things will turn around if our country would bother building affordable housing for lower income families. Godspeed.
