Best Western Eufaula Inn

The room switch went smoothly, but we shouldn't have had to move because the shower didn't work. We weren't given a discount or warned about any issue when we booked. After a long drive, that was a real letdown. We skipped breakfast the next morning, and I was relieved we didn't need to stay another night. I couldn't have managed several days there. The staff were kind and professional, especially the young woman at the front desk. She said she'd been working open to close every day. She looked worn out, but kept a good attitude, and I have a lot of respect for her. The workers were trying their best. The problem lies with management or ownership, which needs to step up. As soon as I came in, I noticed a strong mold smell. I later learned a leak in one of the rooms had been left unattended too long, and that was where the smell came from. A problem like that shouldn't happen at a hotel chain like Best Western. The staff seemed obviously overworked, and the property's conditions and upkeep need attention from the top. With care and maintenance, it could be decent again, but as things stand I can't recommend it.

The property shows wear and doesn't seem to have had much recent investment. It may have trouble measuring up in a more competitive market with higher standards, though it works for this area. For my visit to family nearby, it was a comfortable, clean and generally well-kept place to stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the services met my expectations. Compared with other nearby options, it held up well. I left satisfied, and it was a solid choice for my trip.

For nearly $120 a night, these old rooms weren't worth the price. I've stayed in Motel 6 places that were just as good. That's the last hundred dollars they'll get from me.

My daughters and I were stranded on a highway in Oklahoma in the middle of the night, and this was the closest hotel we could reach. The staff went out of their way to help us with food, a cab, extra water, and anything else we needed to feel safe and comfortable. The front desk and housekeeping gave us five-star concierge service and customer care.
