That patio is such a nice place to sit and enjoy the scenery without even heading out. When we did go out, it was an easy walk downtown for shopping and local entertainment, or over to the Crescent Hotel bar for a nightcap. The cottage had so many thoughtful touches, from historical books about Eureka to useful amenities for the things guests forget to pack. This is southern hospitality at its best. Five stars, easily my favorite!

I loved starting the morning with coffee on the secluded deck. For a group of five, the cottage had plenty of room for our belongings and for all of us to gather in the dining room and living room. It was very clean and comfortable, with lots of thoughtful details. The location is fantastic: across the street from the Crescent and a trolley stop, close to restaurants, and near a trail you can follow to Spring Street. I'd absolutely recommend it and hope to stay here again.

There were so many places indoors and outside for our family to relax and spend time together. We came to celebrate my grandson's graduation, and the house went beyond what we expected. It was spacious, beautiful, and conveniently located. The managers checked in and offered help, though the house had been prepared so well that we didn't need anything else. Thoughtful extras included highend soaps, a record player and music albums, a piano, fireplace, fire pit, games, throw blankets, and much more. I can't wait to return.

The thing that sticks with me most is the wildly colorful, eclectic decor. It's witty and fun, and it made modern minimalism seem so dull by comparison. Think a decorator who was the love-child of a hoarder, Liberace and Cheech & Chong. Historical butterfly and sea life prints, a brass fox valise on the counter, a frog in the window, and walls marked with hand painted black dashes. That's just the hallway half bath! Somehow everyone in our group, ages 24 to 60, loved it and didn't think it was gaudy or tacky. Whoever came up with it did a great job. 🙌 We had a quick birthday weekend with family, and the house was packed with useful things. There was a basket with extension cords, assorted chargers, a lint roller, manicure kit, and more, plus drawers of games and cards and a good selection of vinyl records for the turntable. The lighting was plentiful, from lamps and chandeliers to spotlights and recessed lights, and most of it could be dimmed. The kitchen had cute dishes and serving utensils, plus a coffee setup that handled either a K-cup or a whole pot. The counters are 3” higher than standard, which made food prep and dishes easier on my back. There are no ceiling fans, but plenty of cute oscillating fans as well as central a/c helped with an unusually hot, humid fall weekend. The living room seating was comfortable, there were four barstools, and the large dining table worked well for meals and games. A musically talented family member enjoyed the piano. We also had coffee on the back deck at its big table, with side chairs and a fire pit. My husband even checked the weight of the Weber grill's cast iron hood because he's thinking of replacing ours at home. The neighborhood was quiet after dark, apart from a fun raccoon visit. Sleeping was comfortable too. The beds had nice linens, bedding, down pillows and towels. Each bedroom had one or two accent chairs for sitting down to put on shoes, and outlets or USB ports were easy to find for charging devices overnight. There was an iron, a portable steamer, plenty of closet space, and wooden hangers. The oversized shower has three shower heads, and there's also a giant soaking tub. The bathroom locations are a little odd, probably because of the construction and plumbing, and privacy depends on everyone being considerate. The floor height changes between most rooms, so we made a game of tracking who stumbled most. Our 34 year old daughter won! If you like nice amenities and quirky decor, you'll adore this place.

The hosts clearly care about their guests. There were snacks waiting for us, and the towels, blankets, and bedding were all good quality. Those kinds of thoughtful touches are what make me want to return. The cottage suited our getaway perfectly, and the location was just right. Highly recommend!
