The room was cozy and the location was good. I loved the view from the back of the lodge and the hot tub, and the bed was pretty comfortable. My husband thoughtfully paid extra for the in-room Jacuzzi tub, which was great, but its jets didn’t work.

The noise was the worst part. Both nights, a neighboring guest kept waking us with screaming, swearing, arguments, people coming and going, and doors slamming. Management quieted things briefly after we called the first night, but it started up again. On the second night, we were woken several times between midnight and 3 a.m. The neighbor yelled outside our room, banged near the window, and called me vulgar names. We tried management again, but our call had been forwarded, so at 3 a.m. we had to call the police. Officers came to deal with it. Getting into the room was already a mess. We’d booked weeks ahead, but the office was locked with a note to call Angie. She said we were in Room 22 and explained that the person with the keys had an emergency and taken all of them. She told us to try the room because it “should be unlocked.” My husband opened the door to find another couple staying there. They were kind about it, but the mix-up was awkward and unprofessional, and we weren’t told why our room had been changed or given away. The office smelled strongly of marijuana, and the employee helping us was barefoot, which didn’t inspire confidence. Once we finally got settled in our actual room, the air conditioner kept stopping and leaking water onto the floor. The room got hot and uncomfortable. By the end we were exhausted, sore, and frustrated after barely sleeping and dealing with the whole experience. We paid a lot for a getaway and got check-in confusion, unprofessional service, broken AC, and nonstop disturbances.

The room had cute bear and lodge decor. We picked the place for its outdoor hot tub, but it was dirty, with mold around the edges. There was mildew on the bathroom ceiling too, and the check-in area smelled like marijuana.

The room was a nice, comfortable size, and I liked the rustic wooden furniture. Two nights were a great price, and I wanted to stay longer, but they were booked. The downsides were heavy stomping upstairs and people outside our door for a while at 2 a.m.
