The Lodge

The room was a quiet, comfortable place to spend our anniversary night, and the staff were polite and attentive. I booked mainly because the price was low and it had a Jacuzzi tub, since money was tight for our 17th anniversary. I was pleasantly surprised: the room was a little dated, maybe, but spotless and beautifully set up. The tub was clean, had plentiful hot water right away, and the jets were great. It's about five minutes from downtown, with great parking, and cost a third as much as the noisy, crowded places downtown. I can't recommend it enough.

The balcony looked out over the woods, and we saw lots of wildlife moving around at night. Staff were friendly, the room was clean, and it was easy to find and get to. The location put us close to everything we wanted to see. Parking wasn't ideal, particularly for anyone with mobility issues, but we had a pleasant stay.

There was poop smeared all over the bathroom walls when we arrived, and we all ended up with bug bites. We should have left right then. But we'd come hours from home for a family weekend and the other hotels were full, so I gave the place the benefit of the doubt and stuck it out. Now I've checked the reviews, and bugs and poop seem to be pretty common here.

We try to book here every time we're in Eureka Springs. The rooms have always been clean, and Sunny at the front desk is so nice. She always knows who we are. The jacuzzi rooms are great, especially for a special occasion.
