I wish I’d had more time at Stone Porch. The old home is beautiful, and the renovation shows care in every little detail. My room was comfortable and beautifully furnished, and the private bathroom was striking. Sharon and Lisa, the innkeeper sisters, made us feel welcome. Their homemade treats and breakfasts were memorable, too. The dining room table looks right out over the lake, which is hard to beat. I can’t wait to come back.

I was in town for three days for my sister’s wedding, with every minute filled with family plans, but Corrine’s breakfasts made each morning special. She paid close attention to my dietary preferences and made three different, wonderful meals, with no repeats. I had homemade granola and yogurt with fresh fruit, waffles and quiche, smoothies, and avocado toast. I appreciated that thoughtful start to every day so much. The stay was in a beautifully remodeled historic mansion just across from Lake Michigan, a peaceful spot for morning beach walks. Thank you, Corrine!

The innkeepers were warm, responsive hosts, and breakfast had a great range of options. The rooms are finished and furnished beautifully. The lakeside setting is gorgeous, with everything you need in Evanston about a five-minute walk away. We’ll stay here again.
