Huggy was especially helpful when I asked which foods had gluten. Everyone on staff was friendly, and we had a wonderful stay in a very clean room. Breakfast was great too. I’d definitely stay here again.

We checked out before 5 p.m., less than two hours after check-in, and spent under 30 minutes in the room. We’d only used the light switch and sat on the couch, but the desk said we’d be charged for a half-day rental, which was still $100. At the other hotel the next morning, we noticed three separate charges for the same night. I called, and was told the manager couldn’t do anything. If you go, don’t check out early. We’d reserved a king room and called ahead to ask how busy the hotel was. We were told it wasn’t busy, and heard the same thing again when we arrived about 20 minutes before the 3 p.m. check-in time. The front desk initially gave us the wrong room, but the employee corrected it. We left our bags on the couch, changed, and went out for refreshments. When we got back a little after 4:30, the hotel was packed, including the pool and hot tub, so we chose another hotel. The desk then said they were busy that night. A limo bus pulled up while we were discussing the half-day charge. There were trash bags in the elevator and free popcorn on the floor. It reminded me of walking through Rural King more than a hotel. Our experience wasn’t like the others, we won’t return, and I hope this helps someone else avoid being shafted. Dury inn, do better.

The rooms were what we expected, and the location on Evansville’s East side was ideal, with plenty to do nearby. Breakfast was simple but hot, and the polite staff kept everything stocked even though it was VERY busy. The pool was chilly, but the kids loved it, and we liked the roomy, clean hot tub. We were very happy with our stay and would come back.

The rooms were neat and clean, though I did notice the trash cans had no liners. That was really my only complaint. Check-in and checkout were easy, and I’ve now signed up for Drury rewards. The staff made us feel welcome right away. We met the manager when we arrived, and he was so polite that we felt like regulars. Employees kept asking if they could help, including the bartender at Friday night’s 5:30 kickback, who was awesome. Guests get three complimentary cocktails or beers. Snacks are served in the lounge around 4:00, and once we walked in to the smell of popcorn filling the air. Coffee and tea are available all day. Saturday breakfast runs from 7 to 10 a.m. and it’s a big spread: breads and pastries, oatmeal, a waffle station, scrambled eggs, sausage, seasoned cubed potatoes, buttermilk biscuits, and country white peppered gravy. We enjoyed our stay and will be back.
