We spent a night in the Suites wing before heading out on a canoe camping trip in Everglades National Park. I was with four kids, and the staff made sure there was enough bed space for everyone. That south wing seems to be the newest part, and our room was quiet, clean, and fairly modern. We also spent a night in the older north wing, Ivy House Everglades Adventures Hotel, where the rooms face a lovely outdoor pool.

Camellia Grill is just a couple minutes away on foot, and the gas station is right behind the hotel if you need to pick something up. Our room was clean, modern, and roomy, with a spotless bathroom, a large fridge and freezer, and a very comfortable bed.

The room was spacious, nicely laid out, and spotless, and the beds made for a great night's sleep. It was also so quiet that I never heard anyone in the other rooms. Staff were welcoming, helpful, and added a lot to the stay. A continental breakfast would have been a nice extra. I had a wonderful visit and would recommend the hotel for its comfort and hospitality.

After two hours paddling in the sun on our early kayak tour, we came back hoping to use the pool, but weren't allowed. The hotel and kayak company are owned by the same people, and the only explanation we got was that their policies didn't allow it. We stayed one night with family in July 2024. Arriving late was fine, since we got the key from a box at the main house. The rooms were spacious and had kitchens, though they felt impersonal and had few amenities. Everglades City is beautiful, but there wasn't much to see or do, and most coffee shops seemed closed in the off-season. The gas station nearby had plenty of snacks, breakfast, and coffee.
