Hannah was fantastic and answered all my questions about getting to Mackinac Island and where to eat. Shepler's Ferry service shuttle picked us up, so we didn't have to pay to park there. The Cedars Motel is a cute little gem, updated with a nice bathroom and walk in shower. Our room was small, but we had requested a king bed, so we understood. There was free coffee and tea in the office every morning. We'd definitely stay again.

The owners know lots about things to do nearby and in the surrounding areas. The room was clean and tidy, and my friend and I felt safe and comfortable enough to fall right asleep. We loved the modern rustic charm of The Cedars Motel and would happily return. We've already recommended it to family for their next U.P trip.

The outdoorsy rooms have a sweet cabin feel, and I liked how homey it was. Owner Alex was easy to reach. It's a great low cost stay if you don't need anything fancy.

We'd be back in a heartbeat, except they won't be open when we visit family at Thanksgiving. It's such a delightful change from chain hotels. The room was cozy, and its smaller size didn't bother us. The decor was lovely, and both the room and lobby were sparkling clean. The couple running the place couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Room amenities were excellent: strong internet, a great shower, a comfortable bed, good heating and cooling, plenty of TV stations, a great fridge, and even a coffee maker. The little continental breakfast in the lobby was better than expected. Congrats to this young couple on making their dream come true.

A clean, comfortable, cute place to stay. It was a perfect start to our Memorial Day weekend trip in the UP, and I'd highly recommend it.
