The owner made our late arrival easy. I called ahead, and he left the room unlocked with a little light on, which was thoughtful. The vintage decor was really cool, and everything looked clean and well cared for. The bed was a bit firmer than I like, but it didn't take away from the stay. I'd come back without hesitation.

I'm not even halfway through my stay, but I already love this motel. The room and bathroom are really clean, and the beds are comfortable. The owner was friendly and pulled out a map to point out things to see nearby. For my birthday, I wanted somewhere safe and comfortable, and Northernaire Motel has been just that. Mackinaw City hotels can price gouge and have mayfly infestations, so come across the bridge. This town is friendlier than MC, too. Thanks, Northernaire. I'll recommend it to friends and family and will definitely stay again.

Our room was comfortable and clean, and the owner was helpful and friendly. The price and location are hard to beat, though book early, since we got the last room available. Try the maple bacon donuts at the mini-market across the street before you leave.

My first motel stay in the US turned out way better than I expected, after everything I'd heard about motels. The room was clean, spacious enough, and had the facilities I needed. The bathroom was especially neat, and $70 a night over the 4th July weekend was a good price for anyone trying not to spend more. Andy was polite, kind, and very helpful. He waited for us to arrive at 11pm. I'll stay here again when I visit Mackinac Island, and would highly recommend it.

Andy owns and runs the motel, and he's a super nice guy who'll answer questions and point you in the right direction. The place is inexpensive, simple, and well located, without being crammed into downtown. If a laid-back stay is what you want, book a room.
