The front desk woman was friendly and helpful, but I can’t recommend this place. Our first room looked like something out of a horror film, so we asked to move. The second was somewhat cleaner, but still felt unsuitable even for an animal. The rugs were damp and dirty, the walls filthy, and the toilet was dirty and kept running. Paint on the tub was cracked and peeling, exposing grime underneath. There was hair in the bed from a previous stay, and the place smelled of old cigarettes and marijuana. We’d heard rumors about bed bugs and roaches, but didn’t stay long enough to find out. Thank God we booked somewhere else. We’d paid through a third party and couldn’t get a refund, but that was a loss I was willing to take. 2/2/26

We booked two rooms, and one smelled like dog pee, bad body odor, and who knows what else as soon as we walked in. The Expedia pictures looked nothing like the place. We left for a Best Western 15 minutes away, paid $20 more per room, and didn’t have to worry about bringing diseases home. When I told the desk woman, she didn’t apologize, which made it seem like they already knew about the smell. It’s shameful to think anyone should sleep there. Stop taking advantage of people who can’t afford somewhere better, use the money to clean the rooms, and try sleeping in that room yourself to see if you’d be okay with it. I’d give zero stars if I could.

For a family that spends nearly every weekend at hotels, this was the second worst place we’ve stayed. The worst one was bulldozed within six months of our visit, and this hotel deserves the same fate. The only good thing I could tell was that there didn’t seem to be bed bugs. The room smelled of weed, with a visible haze and residue all over the mirrors and vents, which can’t be healthy. One star feels too generous.

We picked this place for a weekend away, but it was nowhere near what my girlfriend and I expected. The nicer-looking hotels down the street were a letdown to us after this. At check-in they wanted an extra $50, but since we didn’t have it, they still required a $20 deposit. The hallways smelled of cigarettes, weed, food, and general uncleanliness. We killed a small live roach on a first-floor hallway wall. By our room on the second floor, the smell was more like an ordinary hotel. We had the jacuzzi suite, room 201. It was bearable because there were no bed bugs or live roaches in the room, though I found two very small dead roaches, one behind the bedroom dresser and another in the front-room drawer under the TV. The bed was comfortable and the jacuzzi worked and seemed pretty clean. The carpet was okay, but needed better vacuuming along the walls and in the corners. There were dirt and what looked like blood stains on the walls, pictures, lamps, and curtains. The sheets seemed fine, but there were minor food and drink stains underneath the mattress, along with hair and crumbs. The couch and other furniture looked old and stained. The shower curtain rod seemed close to falling out of the wall, and I had to kick the bathroom door shut because it wouldn’t close at first. We went to Kroger for bug spray, just in case, and bought Lysol and Pine-Sol to wipe down the tables, toilet seat, and bathtub. Guests shouldn’t have to go out of their way to clean a room on arrival. The pool room floor and some plumbing were dirty, and the water was a bit murky, though the pool itself wasn’t bad. The TV, fridge/freezer, A/C, and most lights worked; the light above the jacuzzi didn’t. The microwave seemed to work, but we didn’t use it. I found the website pictures misleading. Cops drove around the parking lot each day, and the place had an overall ghetto vibe. We felt safe enough to stay two nights, and the stay wasn’t terrible, but it could have been much better. I’ll never come back. Read the reviews carefully before choosing this or any hotel.

My wife and I stayed Jan 21-23rd 2026, and it was the worst hotel I’ve been to. The lot wasn’t shoveled at all, so we kept slipping outside. Our blankets and pillowcases had stains, and the room’s “window” looked into the dirty pool room. We could hear everything happening there. The Wi-Fi barely worked, if at all, and the employees didn’t seem very friendly or welcoming. Since staying there, my wife and I have been breaking out, almost as if the hotel had bugs. I don’t recommend it. Only come here if it’s your absolute last resort. I’ll be going back to the Baymont.
