The rooms were nice enough, the beds alright, and the lobby quite nice. Staff at the front desks were friendly, though the maids were loud in the mornings, calling to each other down the hall. The location is good, but traffic makes it tricky to get in and out. The signs and parking lot also aren't well lit. I'd stay here again.

The place seemed neglected, smelled like weed throughout, and we also found unexplained charges on our bill. Most upsetting, though, was how the attitude changed when staff saw my yarmulke and my wife dressed tznius. We got looks and comments with a not-so-nice hidden meaning. It felt pretty clear we were being treated differently because we're Jewish. I don't throw around the "a" word lightly, but we picked up on it. The whole experience felt awkward, unpleasant, and wrong, especially nowadays. If you're Jewish, or simply want decent and honest treatment, I'd choose another hotel.

The area around the hotel is wonderful, with great eateries within 10 minutes, and it's close to the Eaglebank Arena. The staff were friendly and attentive, but the room wasn't very clean, with hair and dust in the corners and grimy lampshades. The bed was just okay. The patio furniture was well past its useful life and should have been replaced a couple of years ago. The sink can soak you if you turn the water on too far. Marriott is my favorite for work trips, so this one fell short of what I expect.

I was happy with my stay while visiting my Son at George Mason University, and we'll be back. The room was nice and clean, and the staff were very nice and professional. The Bistro Staff were especially nice. Having a Starbucks setup and a good range of food for breakfast or dinner was a real plus. Thank you.
