Best Western Plus Fairfield Executive Inn

The room was clean and the bed was fine, but it stayed at 82 degrees no matter what fan or AC setting I tried. I called the front desk, and they only offered to send someone as I was checking out. I should honestly have been credited for that miserable night. The staff felt robotic, just asking for ID and a credit card and sending you on your way. It felt transactional, not welcoming. And if someone is struggling to walk with a cane, you should check whether they’re okay with a room at the far end of the hallway from the elevator before sending them off.

The restaurant served excellent Italian food, and the breakfast area worked well for our large group. The bar area was also a nice place to gather. We were in town for a family wedding, and the spacious, clean rooms made a good pre- and post-wedding venue. At our request, almost all of us were on the same floor. That helped with the morning wedding, since we could knock and make sure everyone was up and down for breakfast before the shuttles arrived.

Breakfast was great, with pastries, different juices, and an omelet bar where they make your omelet while you wait. It takes about 3 minutes. We spent a week there as a couple on our way to Spain, and our room was large, clean, and comfortable. It was a nice experience.

We took the bus into NYC from Willowbrook Mall, which was really convenient. The woman at reception was kind and helped us figure out the bus schedules. The ladies in the breakfast area were super friendly and made really nice, fresh omelettes. Loved it. It’s one of the best places to stay if you’re visiting NYC.
