Holiday Inn Express & Suites Greensburg by IHG

We stayed one night while visiting family at the nearby hospital, about 16 hours in all, so I can’t say much about the hotel. It was clean and nice, though a little aged, and the front desk guys were pleasant. We didn’t need anything from the staff during that short stay. The location is a bit strange, above a shopping square, and either way in means going uphill, something to consider in winter. Our room looked out on the highway and local businesses, with lights and concrete and just a couple of trees. It wasn’t awful, but there wasn’t much to take a picture of or remember. Comfortable and satisfactory, sure, though I wouldn’t call it exceptional.

Everyone here had a smile, and that really made a difference to the stay. The staff were very friendly. The rooms were in line with other Holiday Inn Express properties I’ve visited. It was a little tricky to find the first time, but once you know where it is, getting in and out is easy.

We drive from New York to see our son in Cincinnati and stop in different towns depending on the route. This spot has become one of our favorites. It was very clean, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast had more choices than we expected, including almond milk, chocolate milk, Nutella, and Red Hot. Even the coffee cups and forks seemed good quality. That might sound silly, but it made us feel like our comfort mattered. I’ve saved it in my notes with five stars.

Quiet place, with restaurants and shopping nearby. It was very clean for a good price, and the friendly staff were helpful. Breakfast was excellent and everything was stocked. This is what I expect from a good hotel.
