The bed was so hard it hurt my back, and I tossed and turned all night. When I ran the tub, rusty brown water came out first, followed by black, sludge-like particles that looked like fecal matter. I was disgusted. I ended up finding another place in Buffalo for the rest of my trip, and had a nice stay there. Before leaving, I asked the owner if he'd charge me for just the first night because of the problems. He offered to move me to another room, but I told him that wasn't necessary since I wouldn't be staying. I arrived at Budgetel late Thursday night, June 2, 2016, for the US Open Sporting Clays tournament. Room 207 looked as if it hadn't been used in ages. The AC was off and the refrigerator unplugged. When I called the front desk, they said the fridge would work if I plugged it in, since the owner unplugs them when they're not being used. The room was old and dilapidated, but with nowhere else to go, I tried to make the best of it. I unplug alarms so they won't go off, and found spiders behind the nightstand when I did. I watched HBO, had a few beers, and went to bed. I had to get to the shoot, so I moved on during the day. You get what you pay for, or at least you should. If you want a shower without fecal matter, stay somewhere else. I'm not sure how the Heath Department allows this place to stay open. Regards, Erick Platten.

The room's nice so far, kind of has a porno feel, though a few things are in disrepair. I haven't slept well because of the highway traffic, and some soundproofing would be nice. Housekeeping has only been by once in a week. The nearby stores are expensive, the free WiFi is terrible, and the card keys don't always work right.

My boyfriend and I stay at Budgetel whenever we visit his family. It's affordable and convenient, with small but clean, comfortable rooms that have microwaves and mini fridges. You get HBO and a few other channels. It doesn't have the newest amenities, but it's a decent place to stop or get some rest. They can even give you a little extra time at checkout if you need it.

The rooms were really hot this time, and the ACs weren't doing much. I've stayed here before without problems, though. It's a decent hotel. Breakfast isn't much, but there's a good diner down the road.

Clean room, good location, plenty of parking, and friendly staff. We enjoyed the stay, especially for the price, and we'll come back.
