Hampton Inn by Hilton New Bedford/Fairhaven

It's great to find a pet-friendly hotel, especially when I think there are only two in this area. The staff were really nice, the room was clean and comfortable, and they even had treats for our dog at the front desk. They seem to care about how guests and their pets are doing, right down to how the pets look.

When people came here during the 2026 blizzard for heat and electricity, they expected the backup generators most modern hotels have to power the whole building. Instead, there was no heat or electricity, and guests were left in freezing rooms with cold sandwiches. The stay was awful. They also didn't honor refunds after promising to, which violated their terms of service. They did not follow their own policies.

Cat at reception and Mike from Maintenance gave us a very warm welcome. Those two in particular couldn't have been nicer. Our room was very clean, and breakfast was included, really good, with plenty of options. We'd give this hotel 5 out of 5.

Hampton inn New Bedford/ Fairhaven. I stayed there from April 11th to 12th, 2026. After checking in in the early evening, I checked my balance and saw two separate charges of $250 on my card, one for the room and one for the security deposit. I consider this fraud. At the front desk, a woman named Pam said I had to take it up with my bank because the hotel system showed only one $250 charge. But when I went to Bank of America, they told me the hotel had initiated the transaction.
