Seaport Resort & Marina

We had a really good time and will definitely come back. The location right on the water is beautiful, with views of all the boats docking. The room was great, the TV service pretty good, and the clean indoor pool was heated. I'd recommend it.

My elderly mother had been without electricity for two days and was sleeping in her car to keep warm, so I called from California to find her a place to stay. They confirmed they had rooms and electricity, and I booked one. She drove from wareham through terrible weather and along terrible streets, only to discover the hotel had no electricity or heat. This level of incompetence, and possibly even corruption, in how they handle their third-party booking system is unacceptable!

Our room was 112, and it was amazing with no problems. The staff were 100% amazing too. There were a few little things, but nothing unexpected, and you could see they were making updates. Traffic made us arrive late Wednesday night, so we went to dinner, but we'd called ahead to explain and they were still very accommodating. I especially liked the heated mirror, which didn't fog up, and the shower curtain had a slit at the bottom that kept water off the floor. That's a first for me at a hotel or motel. The one drawback was the pool hours, 9 to 9. I mentioned at the front desk that they should stay open a little later, since my son wanted to swim and we're older people who would have appreciated it.

The function itself was great when I went there about a week ago, but the place was bitter cold. They put the people serving the function in a corridor with no heat, and there wasn't even a kitchen space or room for them. I tried a couple of times during the night to find someone at the front desk, but nobody was there. It was awful. If you're renting the place for a function, be aware that they don't seem to have support for needs that come up or to handle an event properly.
