Hyatt Place Hampton Convention Center

The hotel is right across from Hamptom Coliseum, so it was nice to take a leisurely walk around there. I stayed three nights and really enjoyed it. The staff were friendly, the facilities clean and modern, and my room was comfortable with the basics I needed, including a bar fridge, microwave, and plenty of storage. Breakfast was free and decent enough, and the area was cleaned often. I’d definitely come back if I visit Hampton again.

For a one-night stopover, this had everything we needed. The welcoming atmosphere and excellent, efficient service made the stay easy. Dan, Tira, and Khalani were charming, and our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. I’d absolutely stay again.

Dana took care of my reservation when I arrived and was amazing, with a great personality. The staff stayed cheerfully responsive to my needs throughout the weekend, and breakfast was good and hot each morning. I was very pleased with my stay.

We’ve stayed here before without any problems, but our Christmas 2025 visit was awful. The room was clean and in order, yet our double-occupancy room came with only three bath towels. When we asked for more on a day without scheduled housekeeping, it led to a whole string of conversations. We also had to negotiate over removing our Uber Eats trash. We’d tied it neatly in a plastic bag, but staff questioned whether it would be taken and then told us we were expected to leave it outside the door. Our four-day stay only included housekeeping on one day, something we hadn’t known. On that scheduled day, the housekeeper came at 9:30. We asked her to return after we left for Christmas lunch with family, and she said, “I ain't going to be here.” I understood it was Christmas Day, so I asked for clean coffee cups instead. She said we were supposed to wash them and that she had none on her cart. That was the last straw. We won’t stay here again and wouldn’t recommend it. Hyatt needs to do better. This treatment was unacceptable, and we’re deeply disappointed.
