Holiday Inn Express Fall River North by IHG

I couldn't even last the one night I had booked. The room smelled like a freshly opened pack of Marlboro reds, despite the property supposedly being smoke-free. The bathroom was a complete mess, with dried boogers on the TP roll and a brown, poopy ring in the middle of the tub. The TV had no connection, so none of the channels worked. Do not recommend.

The rooms were clean and very nice, and breakfast was awesome. There were no towels left in the pool area when I asked the front desk. The woman there said they were out and the pool closed at 10pm, so they weren't getting more. The small pool area was soaking wet everywhere, and it wasn't just from kids splashing. Water was dripping from the ceiling onto everything.

Valerie in housekeeping works incredibly hard and goes above and beyond. She told me she checks rooms closely because she'd want that same care if she stayed there. She never made me feel stupid or like I was bothering her. I hope she's back soon. I like the people who work here, and for the price I can handle the problems. It's a quiet place in an office Park, almost like a spa to me, and an absolute gem for the area. There are waterfront attractions just minutes away, Newport is 28 minutes away for the mansions, and there are different spots around Fall Rivers, Providence, the airport, and the casino. A lot of people comment on breakfast. Kids walk in and go "WOWWWW..." The complete breakfast has so much to choose from, as you can see by zooming into the pictures. There's also a business center where you can use computers, print things, and send faxes for free. You get an indoor pool and comfy beds too. At a rate of 117 + tax and incidentals deposit, it's the best price around, in my opinion. Booking.com was cheaper for me: the Holiday inn locations website showed $208, and nothing nearby comes close to these rates and perks. My main concern is the Wi-Fi. Several guests had the same problem. They told me they'd updated the WI-FI SYSTEM 2 DAYS AGO, and I say "BRAVO ", but I could say more and won't. The manager eventually came in and helped me get at least a signal on the television. That doesn't make sense. The drains also don't work properly, or they're so old you have to turn them. That happened in each room I was in. There was reddish rust near the bathtub drain too. I didn't even have a romantic weekend there. It's pretty much a resort!

The place felt clean and well-kept, and parking was easy. My two-day stay at the Holiday Inn in Fall River went really smoothly. Check-in and checkout were seamless, and someone was always at the front desk whenever I needed anything. I asked for housekeeping partway through my stay, and they took care of it without any trouble. The hotel was a bit out of the way, but not too bad. It was a perfect stay, and I'd definitely come back.
