The room we were moved into had a toilet that only flushed if you held the handle, a heater that clanked loudly and woke us several times, weak shower pressure, and blinds that stopped halfway up. The cleaning product smell was strong and lingered, which was rough since I'm sensitive to strong scents and my husband has asthma. The first room's smell kept me from sleeping through the night. Both rooms were beside the elevator, so we heard every chime and people coming and going. Breakfast was awful too, with overcooked eggs and bacon or sausage each morning. We started out liking the place. The decor was modern and cozy, the staff were welcoming, and our spacious top-floor room had mountain views. We had booked one night, then added another at the last minute, and asked them to combine the reservations so we could keep the same room. After a 20-minute wait, staff assured us it was arranged for the full stay. But the next morning, as we were heading out, we were told we had to move because of a last-minute mattress replacement. We had to pack everything and relocate to a middle-floor room, even though we'd paid extra for a higher floor. We explained what had happened to the evening staff. They apologized and asked who had helped us, but because we'd booked through a third party, all they could offer was a free drink. We appreciated it, but it didn't fix the lack of follow-through. By the end, the stay had been disappointing and exhausting.
Vanessa at the front desk was awesome, and breakfast was really good, especially the crispy bacon and fresh fruit. The pool and hot tub were lovely too. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated, with great mountain views and a spot close to the airport. I like staying in Vegas away from the Strip, and I'll come back here whenever I'm in town.
We liked being away from the Strip. It's about a 17-minute drive, and the Silverton Casino Lodge is a five-minute walk away, with great restaurants, huge servings, and a casino mermaid encounter. At the hotel, we used the every-other-day cleaning option since we weren't in the room much during the day. It was clean, the water pressure was strong, and the A/C could be loud, though we sleep with white noise anyway. We'd never stayed at this location before, but we'll be back. I checked in on the app and also stopped by reception. Regina and Crystal were juggling check-ins, food orders, and serving guests, all with smiles. When we got in around 10:30 p.m., tired and hungry, The Placery was still open 24 hours. We ordered chicken tenders and wings, and they were surprisingly delicious. Breakfast was filling and had lots of choices for a Hyatt Place. Khaye at the daytime desk was helpful when I asked for our daily water bottles.
We’ve stayed in some of the best hotels around the world and in Las Vegas, but whenever we're in town, this is where we come back. Vanessa makes everyone feel like family and has trained her staff to be friendly and efficient. The hotel is clean and the rooms are great. We can't say enough about her.
The rooms are roomy, clean, and well kept, with comfortable beds and modern furnishings. Housekeeping is dependable, and the calm atmosphere works for business or leisure. The lobby, dining areas, and other shared spaces are clean and thoughtfully laid out. Food and drink are convenient and well done without feeling too expensive. Staff are courteous, knowledgeable, and quick to handle requests. The whole stay, from arrival through checkout, felt organized and guest focused without being too formal. Hyatt delivers a dependable, comfortable 4-star experience, and I'd consider it a reliable choice when you want consistency and professional service.
