Best Western Plus Montezuma Inn & Suites

We've stayed at this Best Western for years, but after this visit I don't think we'll be back. The breakfast was supposed to start at 6, but when we went down at 6:30 there were no eggs, meat, or gravy. Those didn't come out until 7:15. We were also charged more than the price quoted over the phone, and after unpacking we found the heater didn't work, so we had to pack everything up and move rooms.

I requested early check-in for 10/10/25 and called three different times to confirm the room would be ready. I got there at 11am, but the front desk said I had to wait until 3pm. They wouldn't let me cancel without charging a cancellation fee, so I waited all day to get in. I only stayed about 6 hours because I had to work and drive at night. I could have napped in my van instead. This left me having to drive for hours and work the same day, and it wasn't worth it. In my opinion, a hotel shouldn't take reservations it can't honor. They told multiple people the room would be ready, and I don't find the staff honest. I won't stay here again, won't recommend it, and will make sure my company doesn't book here anymore.

The breakfast and 6pm snack were great, and the room was clean and comfortable. Nice bed, pillows, and sheets, with plenty of amenities. I'd definitely stay here again.

After driving 10 hours, we found out we couldn't stay with our cat, even though the website says cats are allowed at the hotel's discretion. My cat is cleaner than any dog I've ever had. I also paid with reward points and now have to try to get them back. I won't stay at any Best Western again.
