Rodeway Inn Fallbrook Downtown

The bathroom was revolting. There was someone else's pubic hair in the tub and hair across the toilet and sink. The window was rusted, and the blow dryer had thick, packed lint in its vent, which seemed like a fire hazard. Sticks and trash had been shoved into the door's peephole, which felt disturbing and unsafe. When we asked for an ice bucket, the employee brought one marked “keys” with black grime inside, then asked if we wanted a clean one. Getting service was unpleasant too. We arrived an hour before check-in just to ask whether a room might be ready, and the woman at the desk had an attitude. When we returned at check-in, the male employee interrupted me and said one of our rooms still wasn't ready. The place felt disorganized and disrespectful. Once inside, our room smelled strongly like a wet dog. The comforter smelled bad and had a burn hole, and nearly everything was visibly stained. It didn't look properly cleaned or maintained. It's cheap and convenient, but the filth comes at the cost of basic sanitation, comfort, and professionalism. One of my most disgusting hotel stays. Avoid it unless you have no other option.

The owner checked us in himself and was incredibly kind. He went out of his way to make our kids happy, and even stopped to check on us the next morning while walking the grounds. You can tell he cares about his guests. We stayed here to get an early start for Legoland, and it suited that purpose perfectly. The rooms were comfortable and worked well for a quick stay.

This has become a special place for my boyfriend and me after three visits. We've felt comfortable and peaceful each time, and the staff's kindness and warm welcome really help us feel at home. We've laughed, relaxed, and made memories here that we'll always treasure. We're grateful for the care we've received and would happily stay again.

Room 69 King was huge, with a balcony, high ceilings, and a massive bathroom. The bathroom and wash area were separate, and both had GE timing switches. The fan didn't work, so you had to open the window to shower. It was very quiet the weekend I stayed. The orange, dim lighting made the room feel very “Black Angus” and barely lit anything, but it helped me sleep, which was a bonus. I'd call the place modest, somewhere between luxury and budget. I enjoyed my stay and will probably return.
