Birdsong, flowers, and the view over the lush green mountain valley make this feel like a peaceful escape. Sandra is a very hospitable hostess, and the B & B is set up nicely for a cozy rendezvous in the serene countryside. I think it would be a lovely retreat for a romantic couples' getaway, or just to get away from it all. Call ahead to confirm your schedule and directions. The house is about 15 minutes from the town stores, so be ready to bike or have a vehicle. Honestly, it's probably best to settle in and enjoy the property's natural surroundings.

There was nothing terribly wrong with the home, but the small concerns added up, so I'm not sure I'd recommend it or stay again. We booked both the house and the in-law suite, then were told about a week before our stay that the suite was occupied. Our two guests found a place down the road, but staying at a stranger's house didn't appeal to them, so they brought a trailer and camped by the beach. We were there for a few days with our dog and two kids under three. The photos on the site are a little old, though the place is more or less the same. There were lots of knickknacks and decorations that looked personal, and I was nervous the kids might knock something over. I did love the indoor plants, especially the pothos in the living room. There were lots of house rules, but nothing that shouldn't already be followed. Be a good guest and it should be fine.

The property is beautiful, and the host is welcoming and runs the place very professionally. There are 69 sitting areas on the grounds, and I plan to use one.
