Budget Inn Falls Church

For what I paid, this place exceeded my expectations. It's an older hotel in a multicultural neighborhood, but parking was easy, the room and bed were clean and quiet, and the linens and air conditioning were good. The Wi-Fi worked too. Great value.

The evening staff really stand out, especially one guy who always goes above and beyond for guests. Best motel around here. We'll keep coming back.

The location is nice and the rooms are decent, but they're old fashioned and could use a renovation. The Wi-Fi is the biggest problem. It drops in and out every few minutes or sometimes after a couple of hours, even though the front desk says it's fine. Getting five hours without an outage feels lucky. Housekeeping also uses Clorox and a dirty mop, which leaves the room smelling worse than before. The rooms themselves are nice, but the age and the smell aren't.

There was a cockroach on the bed on my first night. I showed it to the front desk, and they moved me to another room. Then I noticed my card had been charged twice. The owner refused to refund the extra charge and gave me a million reasons why it couldn't be done. I never agreed to pay twice for one room, especially after finding cockroaches all over the pillows. Dirty rooms and owners who felt like they were scamming me.
