The fresh, modern room and strong Wi-Fi made for a comfortable stay, and we enjoyed the hot tub that evening. In the morning, the free breakfast was a nice start to the day. My mother and I were welcomed by a friendly, helpful front desk team, who thanked us for being members and gave us two complimentary bottles of water. They also told us about the hotel happy hour, where we each received two more complimentary drinks, plus cookies and popcorn in the lobby. Everyone was great, including the two women working breakfast and the housekeeping staff. Jeff the manager checked in to see how our stay was going. We had no complaints and would definitely stay again if we’re back in town.

After arriving tired and hungry, we checked in and were offered a grilled meal that evening. What a treat. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, the room was clean, and the bed was so comfortable. We loved the Janesville Holiday Inn Express, and breakfast the next morning was great too.

Charlene in the kitchen is amazing. Her cookies are the best, and breakfast is wonderful. We also enjoyed the weekday happy hour with free beer, wine, and snacks, and on Tuesdays Jeff and his wife Amy grill BBQ for everyone. They’re super friendly and down to earth. This is hands down the best hotel I’ve stayed at. They’re renovating now, and I’m looking forward to seeing what comes next.

The Monday through Thursday happy hours were a welcome extra after long workdays, and the Tuesday BBQ was phenomenal. We were here for an extended work stay, and the place really felt like home. The rooms and shared areas were always very clean, breakfast was hot and ready early, and all the staff were fantastic. For us, this is the only place to stay in Janesville.

Those Tuesday cookouts won me over. Everyone was so friendly, it felt like catching up with old family and friends. The whole stay was welcoming and comfortable, and the staff handled every request right away. The service and calming atmosphere were both top tier. It’s been a very long time since I’ve had a stay like this, and I can’t wait to come back.
