Meeting House Boutique Hotel

Godfrey’s Bakery & Café was a highlight for me. It’s a welcoming spot to take a break or get the day started, and I liked the complimentary coffee and fresh muffin. The yogurt bowl I tried was fresh and flavorful, too. I also got to see the second-floor meeting rooms, which looked practical and well laid out for work events or smaller conferences. The hotel has recently been updated, and the renovation keeps its charm while adding modern comfort. My room was spotless and thoughtfully arranged. Check-in went smoothly, and the staff made a point of welcoming me, including with a freshly baked cookie. It’s also well placed for dining and shopping, with easy access to major roads and public transportation, so it seems suited to different kinds of trips. I had a very good stay, with attentive service and thoughtful amenities for the price. I’d gladly come back and recommend it for business or leisure.

Godfreys is a great extra. The attached café keeps long hours, and the voucher can go toward $5 off instead of just the drip coffee and muffin, which is what we chose. The specialty drinks and pastries were divine. We didn’t try the main menu, though it looked good. There are also other restaurants, spas, and shops nearby. Getting here was easy, with free parking and quick access from the road, and it’s close to the DC area. The front desk employee checked us in fast, offered café vouchers, and gave us a big chocolate chip cookie to share. The hotel looked clean and smelled lovely as soon as we walked in. The lobby has one small elevator. Hallways and rooms are on the small side, so it might feel uncomfortable for someone larger than average. We’re average to smaller sized, and loved our stay. It’s a charming, cozy place that made us smile as soon as we arrived. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

We chose this place mainly because of the restaurant downstairs, Godfrey’s, and it absolutely lived up to that. The food is delicious, and you can tell they use quality ingredients. It’s honestly one of my favorite restaurants anywhere. Juan was a fantastic host, friendly and knowledgeable, and so engaging that the rest of the team could learn from him. The room was clean, with tasteful decor and a comfortable bed. Thanks to the staff for working hard to keep things comfortable and tidy.

We’ve stayed here twice and keep coming back. The rooms are lovely, especially for the price, and the staff are accommodating and great to deal with. Godfrey's, the attached restaurant and bakery, is also fantastic. It’s become our go-to for date weekends, and from now on we’ll put visiting family here too.
