That 91° indoor pool was a hit with the kids, and the purple lights around the hotel made it feel cozy. We were there for a hockey tournament over a long weekend, with 30 of us using the tavern whenever we weren't at the rink. We booked six months ahead through Jeanne and her team. There were a few early hiccups, but we worked things out together, and we were especially anxious about whether Jones Tavern would be open in the off-season. Our first night, the chef called out at the last minute, so everyone was scrambling to feed a tired, hungry group. Bradley, the Director of Operations, stepped in and cooked for all of us. He also went above and beyond during the snowstorm, spreading ice melt, shoveling, and plowing the lot all night. Nobody slipped, and he made sure we could get in and out safely. The bartenders knew us by name within about an hour. Nicole and the whole crew were absolutely amazing. Some things could use work, like adding shower liners and updating the bathrooms. They're doing renovations, so give them time. The service from Bradley was as good as it gets, and Nicole at the tavern won't disappoint. We can't wait to return next year.

The king suite I was upgraded to for free was huge, clean, and comfortable. The tub could use updating, though the bathroom itself was spacious, especially for an older hotel. Staff were friendly, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. I had expected a motor lodge, so I was surprised to pull into the lot and find a full-fledged hotel. There's plenty of on-site parking, a pool, a small fitness area, laundry, and continental breakfast. It's a few blocks from Main Street and about a mile from the beach.

I booked a wedding room block at Iris Hotel Cape Cod (Falmouth) for our September 6, 2025 wedding weekend, a year ahead. Manager Nancy Ferguson assured me the property was being fully remodeled and rebranded as a high-end boutique hotel. She sent me a link to the Iris Hotel Boston website, with its modern luxury rooms and amenities, and said that was the basis for our discounted $300-a-night group rate. A month before the wedding, I called to check that renovations were finished and was told our guests would all have newly updated rooms. After their stays, several guests told me the rooms were still unrenovated and poorly maintained. One guest, Alexandra DeFrance, posted a detailed Google review mentioning blood-stained sheets, severe noise that led to a police and EMS response, and bedbugs. I was horrified that guests had this experience after I had recommended and booked the hotel based on what management had told me. When I raised it with the manager, the only offer was a complimentary off-season stay. I declined, given what my guests had experienced. I asked for full refunds for guests placed in rooms that hadn't been updated as promised. I was told it would be escalated, and I expect follow-up. I'm embarrassed and distressed that I made promises to guests who then had a traumatizing stay. The lack of accountability, the misleading marketing, and the apparent disregard for guests' experiences are deeply concerning. If you're considering a wedding or group booking, I strongly urge you to be cautious until the hotel can show that the renovations and management problems have truly been resolved.

The location and service were fine, but the room needed much better upkeep and a thorough clean. Airflow was poor, and I noticed mold in several places, including the bathroom ceiling and the bedroom lampshade. I also kept finding someone else's hair on the sheets and towels. Even the door wouldn't shut properly unless I pulled it closed.

For a comfortable stay in a good Falmouth location at a reasonable price, IRIS is a strong choice. I've stayed in plenty of hotels for work over the years, and the management here stands out as professional, accommodating, and clearly happy to be in hospitality. They're easy and pleasant to work with for group events, too. The hotel sits back from a busy two-way street, with a large lot, a well-kept lawn, and woods around the sides and back, so it feels peaceful and removed from the bustle. The rooms are very clean and have a bit of an upscale feel. IRIS is really well managed, and I'd highly recommend it for the value.
