Boarders Inn & Suites

Someone tried to get into our room at 12:30 at night, and the front desk response was indifferent and snarky. The employee said everything in the hotel was broken, just like my attitude, and seemed to spend most of her time in a dark office. The room had exposed wires hanging from the ceiling, and the TV, hot tub, fridge, deadbolt, and fireplace all failed. The place was filthy, with no elevator, and maintenance clearly hasn't been done in years. I travel at least twice a month and this was one of my worst hotel stays. We reported it to corporate, which has opened an investigation. It's locally owned, and I hope Cobblestone shuts it down. That front desk employee should never be in a customer-facing job again.

The room door wouldn't lock, and someone tried to enter at 12:30 at night. We asked to move because the jacuzzi wasn't working, but the TV and fireplace were out too, and the service response had no urgency. The place felt dirty, neglected, and run down, and the rooms were dated. A TV is a basic feature, and even the amenities we'd paid for didn't work. It looked lovely online but was a nightmare in person. Horrible place. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

Breakfast had a rotating menu alongside the usual waffles, cereal, drinks, and grab-and-go items. The pool and hot tub were a nice extra, and our little dog was welcome. The room was simple but had what we needed. We were warned at check-in that staffing was short, but the staff handled it well and it barely affected our stay. I'd stay here again.

The pool kept my daughter entertained, and the room was comfortable enough for a night. It was mostly clean, though a bit dated, with no USB outlets and firm mattresses. Breakfast was disappointing and items were still coming out close to 8, so I stuck with the standard hotel waffles.
