Days Inn Faribault

We were promised a refund, but the first one was only $9. After calling, I got another $45, though I was still unhappy with it and tired of chasing the issue. The stay had been miserable: on a subzero day our room had no heat, then we lost power while trying to warm it up. We were moved eventually, but there was no hot water, only freezing cold water. They didn't tell us about the water heater problem until checkout.

The toilet worked and the water pressure was good. We also got two complimentary bottles of water. But the pool key wouldn't open the pool area, our room keys kept failing, and there was hair in the shower, pool, and hot tub. The hot tub was lukewarm, more like sharing a bath, and only about half the jets worked.

Getting around from here was easy. The room was clean enough, though gloomy, with just two lights above the beds. Breakfast was mostly carbs.

We came back twice within a short span for a funeral and had a wonderful stay both times. The building and rooms were very clean, and the staff were exceptionally accommodating. I don't know why the ratings are so low.
