Motel 6 Dallas, TX - Farmers Branch

I had to cut my stay short because of a serious personal emergency, so I asked the property for a refund for the nights I couldn’t use. Management refused, and it was hard to get hold of them when I tried to talk it through. I know properties have policies, but I expected a little compassion and better service given what happened. The poor communication and lack of effort to find a reasonable solution left me feeling frustrated and undervalued. I wouldn’t recommend staying here after this experience.

I came for the pool, but it was closed. The update on 6/11/26 said it would be closed for a month. I think it’s because there doesn’t seem to be any actual staff besides him, his lovely wife, and probably underage children. Some rooms have a microwave, but mine didn’t, so I had to stand in line to use one. When I complained about that and the pool to the person I believe was his wife and a staff member, she told me, “This is a motel 6 if i want better i should go somewhere else”.

There was poop on the toilet seat in the room we were moved to. My friend had rented it for the night, and our first card didn’t work, so they upgraded us to another room. Customer service was great, though, and they gave us a full refund.

The front desk staff were awesome, and the sheets in our upstairs room had stains and didn’t look very clean. Getting to the desk took a roundabout route that made it feel like we were spiraling toward it.
