Holiday Inn Express & Suites Farmington by IHG

I’m posting this as a formal complaint after several attempts to resolve the issue with the hotel went nowhere. I stayed there with no pets, left the room spotless at checkout, and was later charged $50 for alleged “feces on the floor.” I was given no proof, and staff refused to provide any. They also lied about what happened and called me “nasty,” while making defamatory suggestions about human waste. Whatever mess they say appeared after I checked out is their responsibility, and it raises health and safety concerns. I’ve called management multiple times and received neither a callback nor a resolution. I believe this is a deliberate violation of guest rights and IHG Rewards Club terms. The money itself isn’t my concern. They can keep the $50. I want accountability for the false accusations and lies, and for the sketchy, unprofessional behavior that I believe violates IHG standards and harms the brand. Corporate needs to investigate and address this. I’m asking the hotel to provide the original photos they claim were taken in my room, with timestamps; housekeeping visit and cleaning records from my stay; key entry data showing who entered and when; and a written apology for the accusation, verbal harassment, and unprofessional conduct. This hotel feels completely untrustworthy. Corporate intervention is needed to protect the brand’s integrity and prevent reputational harm.
