Super 8 By Wyndham Farmville

My family and I have been coming here for a while, and we love it. The front desk staff are always smiling, kind, and pleasant. Whenever we need something for the room, they get it for us right away and send us off with a warm “you’re welcome.” We appreciate you, Super 8, and I’d recommend this hotel to anyone. The king bed was extremely comfortable, and the room was clean, with a microwave and fridge. There wasn’t a coffee maker, though. The bathroom looked recently updated, and the mattress sat on a metal spring frame rather than a box spring. We passed on the continental breakfast since cereal and fruit weren’t diabetic-friendly, but it was nice that breakfast was offered, and coffee was available in the lobby. We’d be fine staying here again when we’re in the area. We stayed one night in Room 116. The first room, Room 117, had a broken outlet behind the bed where I needed to plug in my CPAP. The evening reception manager was polite and moved us to Room 116 without any hassle. That room had recently been deep-cleaned, so a few things were missing at first. He apologized and quickly brought a trash can and ice bucket. He was very helpful throughout. For a budget motel, it was good compared with similar places.

The bed was clean and comfortable, and the room did what we needed it to. The front desk staff were super friendly. There were a few issues, though: the back door didn’t feel secure, and the hallway smelled strange, almost like cat urine. Something odd on the room floor turned my socks yellow. The tub faucet dripped, the sink had no stopper, there was a pretty gross substance on the bathroom GFI, and the refrigerator barely got cold.

The staff were pleasant and always around when I needed help, and the room was clean and well kept. I was grateful they offered me some fruit after I missed the 6-9am breakfast because I work nights. The location was handy for my work trip near the highway, with food, shopping, and Walmart close by. The price was reasonable for a short stay, and I’d stay again if work brings me back.
