Baymont by Wyndham Fayetteville Fort Bragg Area

The staff were extremely nice and cordial, but the room was deplorable for $160 a night. My wife and I checked in despite the location not being great, and immediately noticed some furniture was missing. She showered for about ten minutes before the hot water ran cold. The mattress had stains all over, and I saw two cockroaches in the bathroom. My wife said we were leaving. We stayed about two hours. Just not a good hotel.

I want a full refund. The place was filthy, our accommodations weren't met, and the whole stay was horrible. Pillows looked like they had old dried blood stains; the walls were nasty, wallpaper peeling, air vents dusty and dirty, floors unvacuumed, curtains nasty, and the shower curtain barely hanging. We booked a KING weeks ahead but got a double at a higher rate. In my opinion, the hotel should be condemned. It might be nice after renovations, but I won't stay at another Ramada anytime soon. The elevators need remodeling, and the room lighting was so poor that two lamps still left it dark. I had to open the outside door for more daylight. The pool water was black, and there were broken liquor bottles outside. I felt bugs crawling on me the whole time. I even sanitized the room and sprayed the beds with MicroBan, along with all the door fixtures. Very, very poor quality.

The staff were nice at check-in, and the hotel is close to everything with lots of TV channels. That's about all I can say in its favor. It may be okay for a quick one-night stop, but I'd pay a little more for somewhere cleaner and more updated. Keep going, it's sad to see. I stayed a few years ago and had blocked it out. After booking and pulling up, I remembered why I regretted coming back. In the four years since my last visit, nothing has changed, not even the curtains. It needs serious TLC and a proper cleaning, especially in the bathroom.

A friend staying during the same wedding weekend woke up with a roach on their face. I found and killed one in our bathroom, and I had never before felt I needed to check for bed bugs at a hotel in this price range. Fortunately, there weren't any. The room seemed unclean and smelled musty, the tub bottom was visibly dirty, and the area under the sink looked like mold or a poor, dirty repair. The toilet kept trying to refill all night, likely due to a leak, so I had to shut the bathroom door to sleep. The lock didn't work right, and we relied on the added top latch. A curtain was half ripped off the window. The blood-red walls were off-putting, especially for what we paid. I was in town for a wedding, and many friends were staying here too; they would agree with a lot of this. Service wasn't terrible, but they seemed understaffed, perhaps because this location also manages the Baymont portion. There were no do-not-disturb signs, though we wouldn't have needed them: nobody ever came to collect anything or replenish toiletries. I'm not sure if service is by request, so check depending on your preference. The hotel could be better with more attention to cleaning and repairs.
