We don’t have a problem with the motel or even the man I spoke with yesterday. He told me I was all set after I rented one night at the desk and added two more online, and that the woman could stay in the same room all three nights. Something must have gotten mixed up with the receptionist today. She couldn’t find my online reservation right away and ended up kicking the woman out. This left us in a terrible spot: there were about 9 inches of snow on the ground, the temperature was dropping to 1° tonight, and she was on foot. When I called several times to find out what happened, the receptionist wouldn’t answer. She must have recognized my name from the reservation. I used my daughter’s phone, and she picked up right away. She wouldn’t give her name, and we feel she handled everything horribly. She also had the woman trespassed. When the police arrived, she only showed them my receipt for the first night, even though she had found out I’d paid for two more nights. They did cancel without charging my card and emailed a cancellation confirmation, which is good, but now we have to get out on icy roads to find her somewhere safe and warm.

The facility and pool were nice, and breakfast was above average. The fitness center was small and disappointing, with missing machine attachments, no dumbbells, and just one treadmill.

No customer should be treated like this. I was simply waiting for my Uber when the employee on duty started cussing at me, calling me names, and repeatedly telling me to leave. When I calmly said I’d speak to the owner about her behavior, she yelled that she didn’t care who I told and threatened to call the police for no reason. She also insulted my appearance, calling me a “dirty bum” and “broke.” It was completely unprovoked and extremely disrespectful. After checking other reviews, I found another customer had reported the same kind of behavior from this same employee months ago. This doesn’t seem like an isolated incident, but a pattern the business hasn’t addressed. I strongly hope the owner takes action, retrains the staff, or replaces this employee before more customers have the same experience.

On January 24, 2026 at 9:36 a.m., my girlfriend almost tripped twice over a cord. Someone had run it from their work truck up to a room on the top floor, under the door, where it was completely hidden from view in the dark. When we brought it to the front desk’s attention, the woman there was very rude, inconsiderate, and nasty. Hoover was working at that time. She should not have a job anymore.
