Homewood Suites by Hilton Fayetteville

As someone who often chooses Hilton for business travel, I was very disappointed by the condition of the hotel on my recent visit. The hallways and rooms were unclean, and there was an unpleasant smell like dog urine and other pet odors. That was off-putting and fell short of the standards I expect from Hilton. I was told the carpets couldn’t be shampooed because it might damage the glue underneath. I understand the difficulty of maintaining the property, but guests’ comfort and health should come first. The odors and unhygienic conditions made the stay uncomfortable and potentially harmful. It’s unacceptable to compromise on cleanliness when guests pay premium prices and expect a clean, welcoming place. I urge Hilton to address these problems promptly so guests can get the quality accommodations the brand is known for. I’d appreciate a response explaining how these issues will be resolved. I expected a nice hotel based on the reviews, but ants were crawling in the bathtub and all over the wall when I got to my room. I asked for a refund right away and checked out. The clerk told me the previous guest had stayed there for several weeks. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

For nearly two weeks, we had a nice semi-kitchen with a fridge, microwave, dishes, silverware, table and chairs, plus a sitting area. There was a TV in both the room and the sitting area. Housekeeping brought fresh towels every other day, the room was clean, and the staff were very nice and professional. Breakfast was free daily, and on Wednesdays they offered crackers, cheese, and alcoholic drinks. The fitness center was nice, and I worked out a couple of nights. The washers were already out of order when we arrived, though the dryers still worked. Then the shower hot water went out. On day two, the front desk said they were waiting for a part; by day three it still hadn’t arrived, so we took cold showers for three days and moved to another hotel. They had to refund some guests, but they were still taking new ones. I guess Lowe's Home Improvements didn’t have the part in stock. 🤦🏾‍♀️🥶

We travel to Fayetteville often and have tried several Hilton properties nearby. This has been our best stay so far, mostly thanks to the excellent, welcoming staff. The hallways and elevators were clean and smelled fresh, and we liked the bright, open corridors, high ceilings, and ceiling fans in the rooms. There was plenty of parking, a good range of lobby snacks, and several restaurants nearby, some within walking distance. We stayed twice in two weeks. The first week we had the split-layout King Suite, Room 518, which was spacious and convenient, with a semi-full-size fridge, dishwasher, microwave, and two-burner stove. The next week we were in the Standard King Suite, Room 614. It had the same useful amenities but no split design. Both beds were comfortable, and there were enough towels for a few days. The rooms could use deeper cleaning and some updates. Furniture felt lightweight and worn: the living room table and desk wobbled, and the office chair squeaked. The curtains and sheers had stains and small tears, the walls had visible marks, and the sofas in both rooms showed wear and could use professional steam cleaning. Breakfast was okay, but the same items seemed to rotate every other day, so there wasn’t much variety. The TV setup also felt dated, with limited channels, no streaming apps, and no personalized guest greeting. Despite those housekeeping and furniture issues, we had the best stay here out of the Hilton hotels we’ve tried in the area. With some updates and a deeper room clean, it could easily beat more expensive nearby options.
