Springhill Suites By Marriott Fayetteville I 95

2/4/2026. We booked this at the last minute after changing hotels, and the front desk ladies were helpful. The room updates and spacious bathroom really impressed us. Everything looked very clean except for a large cobweb in one ceiling corner. The linen was fresh, clean, and comfortable. My husband found the mattress a little too soft, but I slept very well. Breakfast was free and a nice start to the rest of our trip. Great location just off 95, and an excellent stay. If all SpringHill Suites are like this, we're looking forward to staying at more.

The shower door was nearly impossible to open because its pull bar was loose and the glass sat too close to the base. The water also went cold while I was showering, and the sink flow was ridiculously weak. In bed, you look straight into the bathroom, and the TV is mounted to the left. The walls are so flimsy that someone using the toilet in the next room can be heard. There's a table above the HVAC unit with legs three inches off the floor, attached to the wall with a zip tie. For a new hotel, these problems are pretty bad and need fixing. They also put plugs and USB charging outlets on only one side of the bed. It seems like the plumbing is all shared, and the place feels more like a micro-hotel. At check-in, the young woman was snippy and didn't acknowledge or thank me for being a Gold Member, unlike the training I've seen at most Marriott front desks. I won't stay at a Springhill Suite again, though I will still stay at other Marriot properties. This new, modernized design feels cheap.

The breakfast was the standout, one of the best free hotel breakfasts we've had at Marriott properties in the US. It had scrambled eggs, sausages, cereals, muffins, and waffles with several syrups, including cinnamon chocolate and caramel. There were vanilla and hazelnut coffee options too, plus several juices. On our family road trip, this was the best of the six hotels we stayed at. The building felt new and well maintained, the rooms were spotless and smelled fresh, and the staff were welcoming. There's plenty of free parking, and being right off I-95 made it convenient for an overnight stop. We traveled in December, and the faucet and shower water took several minutes to warm up. Hopefully they can improve that.

The hotel is newer and very clean, but the rooms felt cramped and the layout was awful. The narrow bathroom sits across the foot of the bed, with a barn door where the TV should have been. The door wouldn't even close properly, so there was no privacy, and the shower stall was too small for a full-size one.
