The one good part was Karon, who was helpful, professional, and kind. Everything else made this the most disgusting hotel I've stayed in. The hallways constantly smelled like weed or cigarettes, the property was poorly maintained, and it was infested with roaches. The doors didn't fit their frames, dragging on the floor or leaving big gaps. The floors were filthy, so I had to keep socks on. The mattresses were cheap and uncomfortable, sinking all the way down when I sat, and I had severe back pain every day. They only offer room cleaning once every two weeks, so shorter stays don't get cleaned. I couldn't finish my stay and went to another hotel on my last day in town.

It’s quiet enough compared with other places in Fayetteville, NC, and the room has a full-size fridge, stovetop, cabinets, and a sink. The rest of it has pretty strong Motel 6 vibes, honestly. Still, it works if you just need somewhere inexpensive to rest or stay for a while.

We won’t be coming back with our company. We’re sorry for the staff, though, because they seemed sincere and kept smiling and wishing us a good day. Angela was especially patient and kind, and two employees helped us quickly in the middle of the night when the office was closed, even through the closed window. We’d like to thank all of them for that. The room hadn’t actually been cleaned, but we could have forgiven the mess and being moved to a clean room. We also appreciate that the late fee issue was sorted out. What left us very uncomfortable was repeatedly hearing what we later learned was the boss yelling at employees, who seemed to have to put up with it. The manager also spoke to us rudely and unprofessionally. We’d initially mistaken Angela for the manager, and thought the manager’s mistake was hers. We had paid upfront and left at 7:30 in the morning a few days later, yet there was a late fee on the bill that we had to catch. We were also told my wife’s refund would take 5-7 business days. My wife and I were passing through and checking out hotels for my company’s trip next month. At first we thought we’d found the right place, but the management experience changed that.

The cleaning got noticeably better, and the staff made me feel at home. I started in room 103 during my first week, and it wasn’t the best, so they moved me to 227 and then 429. The bullet hole in the window of 429 made me uncomfortable because I was recently shot, but I pushed through and enjoyed my time with the staff. Today I’m leaving because God blessed my fiancée and me with a humble abode. I’m free now, and back to putting God at the forefront of my decisions. God bless everyone.
