Holiday Inn Express & Suites St. Louis West - Fenton by IHG

Breakfast was the standout, much better than I expected from an average hotel. There were pancakes, eggs, biscuits and gravy, coffee, several juices, cereal and pastries. The room and pool only just met the basics. The carpet seemed like it probably wasn't washed between stays. The pool was small, barely enough for a group of six, and clean enough to swim in, though the water wasn't clear.

The complimentary breakfast really impressed me. Along with bagels and bananas, there were cheese omelets, bacon, turkey sausage, biscuits and gravy, breakfast potatoes, yogurt, cereal and more. The price was reasonable, and we'd come back. This was our first time at this standard Holiday Inn property, in December 2025. Our room was tidy, and the staff were attentive, friendly and accommodating. When I arrived, I asked for extra coffee creamer and a blanket. I also enjoyed the complimentary hot chocolate with mini marshmallows.

The room had plenty of space, a comfy bed, a great TV and an old day couch that I loved. We got the suite with the heart shaped tub last year, and enjoyed our stay. Service was fine. The room did feel musty and could've been cleaned better, though that was my only complaint. I'd stay here again.

The rooms are quiet, clean and comfortable, and the breakfast is one of the best I've had at a hotel. Tara does a great job keeping the food stocked and the breakfast area tidy. They put out warm cookies in the evening, too. Gloria is always smiling and gets me checked in right away. The staff are very friendly.
