Hampton Inn Findlay

I’ve stayed here weekly for work and have usually had an outstanding experience. This time, around 11 p.m., I asked Jill for a little milk to have with two brownies. She said milk was only available during breakfast. I understand the policy, but I didn’t expect one small serving to be a problem, and I’d have been happy to pay. It would’ve been just 8-10 ounces, and other places I stay regularly haven’t made it an issue. That’s the only disappointment I’ve had here. The staff are generally excellent, and I still enjoy staying at this location.

The bed smelled like urine, and the tub faucet was very hard to turn on. Then a staff member tried to enter without knocking. The anti-theft latch stopped the door, and I thought someone was breaking in. She walked off without apologizing. I wouldn’t return to this Hampton unless they make major changes.

It was clean, and breakfast was good. For a quieter room, choose an even number if you get to pick, since the odd-numbered rooms sit right beside the interstate.

The front desk and morning crew were great, and the room was clean, though it felt short on amenities. I wish I’d known Starbucks coffee was only available in the morning. I sleep easily, but if you don’t, good luck getting any shut-eye.
